This week’s lunch-outs
So without further adieu, allow me to share my gastronomic adventures this past week.
Behold, Amici’s Italian Sausage. I was invited to go out with some office mates on a payday lunch out and the sausages are their bestsellers. Really good! Seen below with mashed potatoes.
The sausages look deceivingly small but you’ll be surprised to know that these little babies pack a mean punch. This is why I got the one with potatoes and not the one with rice. Amici remains my favorite Italian trattoria in this side of the city. One order of Italian Sausages only cost P180.00 (US$4.40).
A day later, Noreen told me that she’d been craving for Chicken Inasal. So after picking her up from school, I decided to bring her to the Bacolod Chicken House (not to be mistaken for the Bacolod Chicken Inasal) at the Fort Terminal, the one near Shell The Fort. Yes, they do serve authentic Chicken Inasal. Not they’re not using native chicken though, but their broilers taste as good as the real thing, minus the rubbery texture of the original. An order costs P135.00 (US$3.30)
They also have pancit molo, which I thought was kinda salty. But that’s just me.
Two days later, Noreen asked to me to take her the Polo Outlet Yard along C5. For lunch, we ate the at San Jacinto Panciteria. Their Seafood Chow Mein is the best! This plate only costs P200+ (US$16.00)
Panciteria San Jacinto also has great-tasting siopao. You should try dining there.
Later that evening I decided to buy some donuts for Noreen. There’s a new donut shop in town with great-tasting, no-frills donuts: Napoleone’s.
Napoleon’s is a donut shop right across SM Hypermart, Pasig. My favorite is their Cream Cheese donut that sells for P24.00 (US$0.58) each!

to bubong: thanks for visiting the site pre. my apologies for the myriad of grammatical errors on this post. i was so sleepy when i wrote this one, but it’s ok now, he he he. i must say the panciteria san jacinto is a really good place to eat pancit. vegetarians can dine there because they have the seafood chow mein, the one in the picture. no meat there except squid, fish and mushrooms!

Thank God I’m full now, because I might end up craving for the food you’ve featured. =) You had another feast huh. But still, you made me crave for the molo soup. lol.

@arpee - Actually, vegetarians don’t take seafood either, but I am sure I could request for one from San Jacinto with just vegetables and mushrooms.

to arps & ang kwago: yes, remember the “lady dumarpa incident” at congress? so be sure it’s really “vegetarian” before you say it is, lest be slapped, cursed and degraded.

I am impressed. You really get around. Also, every single time I visit your blog is an exercise in will power. I get so hungry. Not so much because of the pictures, but the delight of the eating experience you so well communicate.
This is not helping my figure any. Well, it is actually, if round were my goal.
