And the fun continues. What’s lunch without dessert? A few meters away from Bawai’s Vietnamese Kusina is Chateau Hestia. Austrian national Johannes Zehethofer owns this dainty bed and breakfast place, deep within the recesses of Lagusan Drive, Tagaytay City. Seen here are bloggers eagerly anticipating dessert.

This is the entrance to the restaurant. Noreen stops for awhile with media man Mike for a snapshot.

Johannes Zehethofer, the gracious host and owner of Chateau Hestia. If you want to come here for lunch or dinner or an overnight stay, you may call him for reservations or inquiries at +639189305372. He will gladly answer all inquiries and whip up a mean lunch while he’s at it.

In the dessert sampler are Mousse au Chocolat, which is bittersweet ganache topped with red wine poached pear slice, Pannacotta topped with marmalade and Ferrero homemade ice cream.

To top it off, we were served Lemoncello to counteract the sweetness.

Overall, it was a wonderful dessert experience. Can’t wait to go back to Tagaytay to try these foodie destinations again with the family.

thanks for breezing by tom! chateau hestia is a garden restaurant that serves wonderful european cuisine and does not overcharge as in most manila-based restaurants. the weather is just right and the kids will love the playground.

I’m actually slavering on the dessert. And I am really amazed that it’s not overcharging. :)

to cecile: on the contrary, the prices are very reasonable considering they use the best ingredients. check out their website to see the map and a peek at their menu, in case you’re interested in visiting the place.
