Hogging Haagen Dazs
Contrary to popular belief, the name Häagen Dazs is not a European brand. The owners used a play of words to make it sound foreign. Actually, Häagen Dazs is an American brand that is now owned by Nestlè. My personal favorite is Green Tea flavor, which is only available in select Asian markets including the Philippines.
Their branch at the third floor of the Mall of Asia treated bloggers to a tasting fiesta of flavors and fantasy. We were given a choice of whether the brownie creation or the waffle creation to go with any two scoops of dark chocolate orange, caramel apple crumble or dulce de leche.
For me, choosing the right flavor at the counter was always tough whenever I’m at Häagen Dazs.
Zee had a hard time choosing the right creation for her lion’s share. But the staff member was very courteous and patient with us, taking the extra time to answer our questions and explaining the Häagen Dazs way of pleasing the palate.
Then we had to wait while they prepared our orders.
After a few minutes, the food arrived. And arrive it did!
I highly recommend that you try one of these creations when you go to Mall of Asia. Truly delectable!

to hiro: it really is the rolls royce of ice cream. their ice cream dishes are not so expensive. the one you see here is only P310 plus service charge, and it’s big enough for two.

I actually thought it was a German brand. Hehe
I agree. All the ice creams I have tasted pale in comparison to this. I love Mocha Chip.
