The African Sunrise dawns on CBTL Philippines
The African Sunrise is a unique blend of tea leaves and herbs that only those in US have been lucky enough to drink. Worry not for Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf brings this exquisite tea blend to the Philippines and will be available to Pinoy tea lovers on the 28th of July.
I was lucky enough to have been invited to an informal gathering to help disseminate the good news on the arrival of African Sunrise. Honestly, I’m not a tea lover. In fact, I hate tea. Not because of the caffeine, but because tea doesn’t have any taste, to my uninitiated and uneducated palate. Most tea to me tastes like I’m sipping hot water. So, out of courtesy I decided to give brewed African Sunrise a try. It smelled good and the taste was full-bodied and very distinct. Remember that I hate tea, but my first sip of African Sunrise was a total surprise. I actually ended up finishing the large cup.
The contrast of the taste of tea with CBTL’s Chicago Cheesecake went well together. The same African Sunrise made into iced tea was even more delightful, because, though I hated hot tea, I so love iced tea because it’s sweet without the soda fizz. With the honey bran muffin, the African Sunrise iced tea was a runaway hit.
Though we all had our favorites, we all agreed that African Sunrise was a real delight and a great addition of the CBTL line of great tasting teas, and iced teas! On the 28th of July, I suggest you troop to the nearest CBTL and get a taste of this wonder tea.
