‘Tis the season for the San Miguel Beer Oktoberfest 120!
That’s right folks! Our yearly tradition of celebrating the Pinoy passion for the world’s favorite beverage has finally kicked off. So many exciting things are planned to make this year’s Oktoberfest the most unforgettable ever!
This Friday, September 5, make sure you leave work early so you can get a good seat at what could be the world’s longest beer bar! Stretching at 600 meters, this Oktoberfest beer bar begins at San Miguel Avenue to Julia Vargas, all the way to Lourdes Avenue. If successful, this will beat the current record of 240 meters held by Taiwan.
Take your spot at this world-record breaking beer bar by being a part of yet another world record, the world’s biggest beer-toasting crowd. To heighten the excitement, you will be entertained by some of the country’s best bands and musicians like Rivermaya, The Dawn, Afterimage, Nyoy Volante, Paolo Santos, Jimmy Bondoc, Nina, Rico Blanco, Reggae Mistress, Guarana and Third Eye Blind.
Also on September 5, the limited edition Oktoberfest beer will launched. It is an exclusive brew made specially for this year’s Oktoberfest and will launched at special venue at the Coyuito parking lot along San Miguel Avenue right across the San Miguel head office complex Gate 1.
So don’t forget to mark September 5 on your calendar. Come to the kickoff party of Oktoberfest and make history!

ah ok..thanks. cause a friend heard that over the radio that DC will be part of octoberfest..so it is really third eye blind then?no surprise guests?or int’l bands?
to pearl: as far as i know, no other international band is playing at oktoberfest but third eye blind. there a host of local bands spread across various locations that will kickoff the oktoberfest launch party on sept 5 like rivermaya, The Dawn, Afterimage, Nyoy Volante, Paolo Santos, Jimmy Bondoc, Nina, Rico Blanco, Reggae Mistress and Guarana. i’ll be there this friday to party with the oktoberfest people. i suggest you go there and party with them too! thanks for visiting my blog!

to gerald: as far as i know, celebrations for oktoberfest will be happening from now to december. monitor tv and print ads announcing when the next event celebration will happen. sorry but i don’t the full info on oktoberfest/
