Davao’s Kangaroo Coffee Company
Starbucks is not the only coffee place in the world with free wifi. Incidentally, this wonderful coffee place in Davao City serves the same quality coffee and desserts that you can find in your neighborhood Starbucks and even more. While the free wifi isn’t the only crowd-pleaser, the coffee is too, most especially the civet coffee or the Kape Balos which has been rumored to be the best-tasting coffee there is. And it comes from civet dung.
For those with a flair for the exotic and new, Kape Balos may just be the right pick-me-up for you. In Luzon, it is generally referred to as Kape Alamid and is available in Manila from selected branches of Bo’s Coffee.
The cups are large and the servings, filling. There are desserts that you will love and frappes that have durian in it. I tried the Durian Mocha frappe and it was quite good, considering that I hate the smell of durian. So if you’re in Davao, hop to the nearest the Kangaroo Coffee Company store and try the Kape Balos. Their desserts are just as great. You might even stumble on some really great artwork from their collection and bring home a piece of beautiful Davao City.
This is their Mangoes and Cream frappe and Durian Mocha frappe.
With many ways to sweeten the deal.
Some hot chocolate to warm any heart.
A slice of New York cheesecake for sweeter smiles.
Some prefer mint chocolate cookies with Kanga Nuggets (chocolate covered corn flakes) to go with their coffee.
Kangaroo Coffee Company crew gives away free smiles for every cup you buy. A great bargain, I think!

I miss the choco minty cookies.
Great work on the Davao trip, Arpee. I almost felt like I was there too. I haven’t been to Davao in a while, and I miss the place.
From someone who misses his hometown, I’m glad you’re having a good time feasting on the food in Davao. Welcome to seafood heaven!
I love Kangaroo Coffee! I always visit the place when I was in Davao last January. The coffee and the food were really good.
