Kraft Eden Cheese honors Filipino Moms with Sarap ng Pasko 2012

I believe Christmas is the only holiday that we Pinoys celebrate the longest. This year, Kraft Eden Cheese honors one of the most important people in our lives, Mom. Back in the day, the Lazaro household is restless cooking and preparing for whoever will come and visit us on Christmas day. My Mom is the busiest person, with all the grocery shopping she needs to do. One of my favorites that she would prepare is what she terms as “German Steak” or beef roulade. My regret is that I don’t have her recipe for the beef roulade but I do know for sure, she has always used copious amounts of Kraft Eden Cheese because it is the only ingredient that acts as the salting agent. She also used beer as part of the marinade, thus the longer the roulade was stored in the ref, the better it tasted. Such are my memories associated with my Mom and Christmas. There was always a lot of cheese going around.

As it is in our home, I don’t think it would be any different in yours that Eden Cheese is ubiquitous during the Holiday season. Good thing there is an alternative to the expensive Queso de Bola, which very few of us really liked to eat anyway. Kraft Eden Cheese has also come up with the quick melting variety which you can easily use for your lasagnas and baked goodies. It’s always good to have a lot of choices, especially when it is well within the budget.

So if you are like me, who no longer enjoys the company of Mom and Dad, don’t fret. I have my friends and other family members to talk with, share cheesy stories and loud laughter. I’m already thinking of the goodies I will make using Eden Cheese, especially the melting variety. Lucky are you who still have Moms around to spoil you with their home cooking. Don’t forget to make them feel special this year. You have always been number one in her list, maybe you should stop and remind her how special she is to you.
