Foursquare anyone?
I will make Foursquare the decider of the next blogger giveaway. I will be giving away a Melo’s gift certificate worth P2,000 to anyone who will be Mayor of Melo’s Restaurant in Westgate, Alabang in approximately three weeks after this announcement, which is on Nov 19. The P2,000 GC will be valid for a month.
If you are new to foursquare, then I suggest you register now through www.foursquare.com . Link this with your Facebook account so we can better see your progress. You can register on the pc for foursquare but you can only check-in from a mobile device. Right now, the mayor of Melo’s has only been there 3 times in the last 60 days. That’ll be like stealing candy from a baby.
There will be caveats to this contest, of course. Here is a list of people who CANNOT join or win in this blogger giveaway:
There are several strategies to win. You can dine there as often as you can and check in each time. You can walk over there, take a picture outside the restaurant and post it to foursquare when you check-in, that counts too. I can’t really think of anything else but I am sure there are several strategies you can think of, smart person that you are.
Remember, foursquare can’t be cheated, not anymore. You need to be there to earn points which will contribute to your mayorship. If, for some reason, the current mayor cannot be ousted, I will extend the deadline until a new mayor appears. To make this clear, after the 19th of November if the current mayor is not ousted, I will extend the deadline until that mayor is replaced and award the GC to the new mayor, who must remain mayor for at least 2 days.
Questions about foursquare? See their support website (http://support.foursquare.com/home). If you don’t have foursquare on your phone, you will be ineligible to join. Android or IOS, download foursquare now and start checking in.
Message me for questions. Our little contest begins Oct 30. That’s today.
