<p style="text-align: justify;">Most of the well-known coffee shops in and around Metro Manila as mostly franchises from abroad. For a change I decided to visit a local coffee shop known to have been started in the Queen City of the South, Cebu City.</p>
<p><span id="more-280"></span></p>
<p><a title="bosgrind by arpeelazaro, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/14758955@N04/2937260911/"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3042/2937260911_807955d01e.jpg" alt="bosgrind" width="375" height="500" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">What makes them different? The most noteworthy is that most of the coffee beans used by Bo&#8217;s Coffee are grown in and around the Philippines. The famous <a title="Civet coffee defined by wikipedia" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kopi_Luwak" target="_blank">Civet coffee, kopi luwak</a> as it is known in Southeast Asia or locally known as <a title="BBC story on kape alamid" href="http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia-pacific/4896230.stm" target="_blank">Kape Alamid</a>, is just one of the unique coffee pleasures that can only be experienced at Bo&#8217;s. For better blends, they do use some coffee beans from South America, but most of the beans they use are still from local farmers.</p>
<p><a title="bosdesserts by arpeelazaro, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/14758955@N04/2937253849/"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3284/2937253849_16238228b1.jpg" alt="bosdesserts" width="500" height="375" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Aside from coffee, which I am not that big a fan, there are other things worth your while. Such as free wifi and the most delectable desserts which are 25% cheaper than your average American coffee shop.</p>
<p><a title="bosmochapraline by arpeelazaro, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/14758955@N04/2937252983/"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3053/2937252983_54f884958a.jpg" alt="bosmochapraline" width="500" height="375" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">A slice of this mocha praline is around P115.00 (US$2.40). Mind you, their slices are larger than the usual.</p>
<p><a title="boschoco3 by arpeelazaro, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/14758955@N04/2938105348/"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3282/2938105348_c4155f23d8.jpg" alt="boschoco3" width="500" height="375" /></a></p>
<p>Their desserts are always fresh, as their coffee.</p>
<p><a title="boschoco2 by arpeelazaro, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/14758955@N04/2938107494/"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3214/2938107494_74b1e8b204.jpg" alt="boschoco2" width="500" height="375" /></a></p>
<p>Everybody loves cheesecake and this is their bestseller.</p>
<p><a title="bosbluechisake1 by arpeelazaro, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/14758955@N04/2937255645/"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3237/2937255645_5841890f57.jpg" alt="bosbluechisake1" width="500" height="375" /></a></p>
<p>Grab a slice now!</p>
<p><a title="boscheesecake1 by arpeelazaro, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/14758955@N04/2938108640/"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3162/2938108640_f6af1f8446.jpg" alt="boscheesecake1" width="500" height="375" /></a></p>
<p>Their Revel Bar is also good!</p>
<p><a title="bosrevel by arpeelazaro, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/14758955@N04/2937264099/"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3277/2937264099_8c5f16ebfd.jpg" alt="bosrevel" width="500" height="375" /></a></p>
<p>They have teas too, in case you&#8217;re wondering.</p>
<p><a title="bosteas by arpeelazaro, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/14758955@N04/2937263765/"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3140/2937263765_e10a4dd722.jpg" alt="bosteas" width="500" height="375" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Even travel blogger <a title="byahilo's website" href="http://byahilo.com" target="_blank">Enrico &#8220;Byahilo&#8221; Dee</a> loved their brew! I say if it&#8217;s good enough for him, then it&#8217;s definitely good enough for me.</p>
<p><a title="bosguest by arpeelazaro, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/14758955@N04/2938110748/"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3293/2938110748_1c8421bea9.jpg" alt="bosguest" width="375" height="500" /></a></p>
<p>This is Steve Benitez, CEO of Bo&#8217;s Coffee Club. The visionary behind this Philippine coffee revolution.</p>
<p><a title="bosceo by arpeelazaro, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/14758955@N04/2937252457/"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3283/2937252457_d94b2d7011.jpg" alt="bosceo" width="500" height="375" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">I highly recommend that you give Bo&#8217;s coffee a try. Their branch at Bonifacio High Street does not disappoint.</p>
