I don’t like the taste of beer. Even as a kid, when I was more adventurous, I never learned to like the taste of beer. I found it too bitter, much like a kid who doesn’t like eating ampalaya (bitter gourd). But the people of San Miguel gave me a gentle nudge; “just try it once”. So I did.

It tasted like what it says on the label, apple and lemon! With 3 percent alcohol, it can still get anyone tipsy or drunk, depending on how much you drink. I downed one whole bottle and there was ABSOLUTELY NO BITTER AFTERTASTE! I love it! I suggest you chill it first before drinking, tastes even better that way. Even with iced tea, when it’s in room temperature, there is some bitterness much more with flavored beer. Chill it well and enjoy the company of friends and co workers. Now I don’t have to look like a wuss when in the company of drinking friends. I can have beer and not worry about the taste, because it tastes just fine.

It is because of this wonderful taste that we must all be wary about drinking too much. Remember, too much of a good thing won’t be so good anymore.

To heighten the excitement, you will be entertained by some of the country’s best bands and musicians like Rivermaya, The Dawn, Afterimage, Nyoy Volante, Paolo Santos, Jimmy Bondoc, Nina, Rico Blanco, Reggae Mistress, Guarana and Third Eye Blind.

Also on September 5, the limited edition Oktoberfest beer will launched. It is an exclusive brew made specially for this year’s Oktoberfest and will launched at special venue at the Coyuito parking lot along San Miguel Avenue right across the San Miguel head office complex Gate 1.
